On November 18th 2023 our co-founder, Mex Ibrahim attended an event by City Harvest which showed how surplus food was given another life. Together with their friends at London’s Community Kitchen they co-hosted a Covent Garden Supper Club at The Conduit.  The supper acted as a great introduction to see how London’s first surplus food distribution charity are making positive changes in their efforts to reduce London’s food waste.

A few days after the General Election, we held an event at City Hall, one of London’s most iconic & political buildings, on the politics of food. A diverse panel of women  covered a big range of topics including food poverty, slave-free food, food waste, gender politics in professional kitchens, Brexit, sustainability and more. The Caroline Walker Trust Awards showcase the passion, courage and conviction of those who work to improve the quality of our food and nation’s health. The winners of the 2019 awards were announced on 12th November and we were delighted to see so many innovative women amongst the nominees, many of whom are challenging the status quo in the field of nutrition and public health.
